Sharm
El Sheikh is famous for its all year round sun and
clear blue waters. Whether its sun bathing shopping,
scuba diving or visiting the antiquities Egypt is
famous for them all and Sharm El Sheikh is the ideal
place. The sea is warm and tranquil and the
coral reefs abundant with sea life are a haven for
divers as well as snorkellers.
In Sharm
El Sheikh life is centred on the beaches both day
and night with many bars and restaurants overlooking
the bay. Shopping is varied and offers both
modern shopping malls and or traditional bazaars where
you can haggle for leather goods and egyptian ornaments.
Nearby is mount Sanai where Moses received the 10
commandments and is also situated there is St. Catherines
monastery where you can see the legendary "Burning
Bush".
Sharm
el Sheikh has something to offer everyone and is the
most popular Egyptian resort. Every water sport
can be found here, for which it is world famous, especially
the diving. On land there is championship standard
golf, tennis and you can also believe it or not, ice
skate!
At night
time Sharm el Sheikh takes on an almost "Las
Vegas" style when all along the boardwalk between
the hotels and the sea various types of floorshow,
Arabic and Western bonds and other types of entertainment
come to life.
Sharm
El Sheikh is in three main areas, the old town of
Sharm el Maya, several bays and El Haloden.
From North to South the bays are Nabq Bay, Sorles
Bay, Tiger Bay, Garden Bay, Na' ama Bay and Sharm
el Maya
Airport
transfer time is maximum 20 minutes to most areas
of Sharm El Sheikh.
NB:
A VISA is required and obtained from the Egyptian
Consulate before travel or upon arrival at the airport
for approximately £15. When
staying in Sharm El Sheikh you do not need a VISA
but for any travel outside Sharm El Shikh, such as
on excursions you must have a VISA.
