Morabeza is situated in the south of the Sal Island, right at the edge of the fine sandy beach of Santa Maria. It is like a small village quarter full of trees and flowers.

The archipelago of Cape Verde is situated in the Atlantic Ocean, 500 km from the coast of Senegal, while the island of Sal is where the tourism infrastructure has been developed thanks to the presence of one of the international airport of the archipelago.

 

Accommodation:  The hotel has 140 very comfortable rooms (standard room, superior room renewed, junior suite with a living room) with direct access to the beach. The rooms are provided with TV, refrigerator, fan, telephone, A/C, safe (surcharge till 31/10/07 included).

Due to their orientation, the rooms are naturally aired by the trade winds which temper the effects of the tropical sun.

Food & Beverage:  The hotel has three restaurants, the Beach Club, situated on the beach, offering a menu which mainly consists of local fish dishes enabling the visitor to discover such local specialities as prawns, Les Palmiers, on a magnificent esplanade where barbecue evenings are held and La Tortue, where one can enjoy a world of exotic tastes.

Sports & Leisure:  The hotel has many services such as scuba diving centre, fishing club and surfing centre with wind surfing and body board. The hotel also offers gym and fitness centre, games room with billiards, table tennis and board games. A tennis court is also available.

The entertainment centre of hotel Morabeza organises excursions in a 4x4 or by boat, with a motorised trimaran, the Ilan Voyager, to explore the island’s attractions. On request, excursions by plane or boat to other islands can also be arranged.

Facilities & Services:  The hotel provides a sea water pool, four pleasant bars, a Beach Club with solarium provided with sun beds and parasols (free for clients on Half Board), a hairdresser and a boutique.

The night club, highly appreciated by night owls, is situated in a large square where local music can be heard.

Essential Entry Information:  On entry into Cape Verde, you must obtain a visitors visa at the port of entry, the fee is approx £28/42Euros (subject to change).

Please Note:  Please note that as of 01/05/2007 renovation works are taking place at 30 rooms of the hotel. Completion date is still unknown.
